PIONEER RT 909 Demo. Rebuilt Pinch Rollers, Forgot to Mention. ZCUCKOO

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS Vintage PIONEER RT-909 Reel to Reel. These were made between 1978 and 1984 if I'm not mistaken. Not sure of the Exact year of this particular deck. This is 2 Channel, 4 Track Deck. 4 Heads, 3 Motors. Takes Reel sizes up to 10 1/2 Inches. Two Speed deck, 3 3/4 and 7 1/2 ips. This is a MULTI-VOLTAGE TAPE DECK. All 4 Heads are in Excellent shape. This deck has a "PITCH CONTROL" which some that do CD Conversions find In-Despensable. Converting a Tape on a machine that played a little Slow or Fast, ---------PITCH CONTROL for the WIN ! Rewind, Fast Forward, Play, Record, Pause, Auto Reverse, Repeat, Counter All working Nicely. Both pinch rollers have been rebuilt by Terry's Rubber Rollers and are basically Brand New and work Perfect. --Black outer casing is in great shape, no major dings, only a scuff or two, No corrosion. The face plate is in Excellent Shape and it is the Aluminum type that won't bubble and flake. This deck has Never been rack mounted, there are only a small handful of scratches. Left tape tensioner has a verticle scratch, and on the right, near the power button, there are some more scratches. See pointing Finger pictures. All in All it is a very nice deck and a motivated individual can find a replacement on ebay with a little patience. Also the original feet are broken. I did epoxy one of the legs and while they are both on the deck protecting my 1974 Marantz from scratches, they could also stand to be replaced but again, they do what they are supposed to do. This deck uses the Twist Reel Locks so No rubber reel holders to keep track of. Proud Looking Deck. Sophisticated look Deck All Knobs, tape guides, etc are complete and original. All Lamps Work including the Playback Directional lamps all work all work as they should, Like New. COMES WITH ORIGINAL PIONEER NAB LOCKING HUBS. Usually sell anywhere from 80-130 here on eBay and a Mint BASF Take Up Reel in Original Reel box. See Pictures. I just went thru the entire tape deck and did the following; *76 Electrolytic Capacitors have been replaced on the Tone/Pre-Amp and Mother Assembly *NEC Op Amps were removed, 8 pin sockets installed and Burr Brown 2132 Op Amp installed. *Both Pinch Rollers were Just Rebuilt by Terry's Rubber Rollers and are in Perfect Condition. *No Groove in the Heads At All, Look like New *Mechanics Completely dis-assembled, Cleaned, and Re-Lubricated with White Electrical Grade Lithium Grease. *Motors Lubricated with Synthetic Oil. *Brakes work as they were designed, Great Shape. *Forward and Reverse Play, Rewind and Fast Forward Tensions SET with Gram Scale per Service Manual. *Capstan Motor Completely dis-assembled, Commutator cleaned/re-surfaced, Lubricated with Synthetic Oil and thoroughly tested for Hours. *Capstan Belt Replaced. *Teflon ball pivots are in place and in Excellent shape. *All Pots AND Switches were Cleaned with De-Oxit D5 Cleaner, then after a 24 hour dry, Lubricated with De-Oxit Fader Lube for Clean and Quiet Operation. *MRL Calibration Tape used on this deck and levels were set for Recording and Playback. *Speed was set for both 3 3/4 and 7 1/2 ips. *Speed is accurate on this deck. *Entire Tape Path Cleaned. *Heads Demagnified. **The ONLY Thing I wish worked a little better is the capstan motor as it take a few seconds to come up to speed. Deck has been tested for several stretches of 14 hours and has worked nicely without issue.
