A Summer Day in My Life as a Software Engineer in Amsterdam 🇳🇱

The day started with breakfast, getting ready, and taking the train to Amsterdam for another office day. With the warmer weather finally here, even the usual commute feels a little different — and having a new bike has made getting around Amsterdam much faster. Once at the office, it was time for an iced latte, coding, working through pending tasks, a small fruit break, and lunch with colleagues. Coming from Spain, eating lunch around 12:00 definitely took some time to get used to, but I think I’m finally adapting to the Dutch schedule. After lunch, another iced latte and a few more hours of work before taking the train back home. But the day wasn’t over yet: I switched bikes, headed to the gym for a push and pull session, and finished the day cooling down with a swim in the lake. Just another realistic day balancing software engineering, commuting, training, and summer life in the Netherlands.
