The yield, which was low last year but is expected to reach 50,000 tons this year, has brought smiles to the faces of the producers. Hasan Özen, a cherry producer in Yeşilyenice Neighborhood, stated that he has a 5-decare cherry orchard and said, "Last year there was no yield due to frost. This year, however, there is more than enough. We have been harvesting cherries for almost a month. We have harvested 5.5 tons of cherries. We have about 3 tons more cherries. We are happy. This year's yield is very high. Thank God." Kadir Kavuk, another cherry producer, pointed out that they could not get a product last year due to agricultural frost and said, "Thank God, the crop is good this year. We hope to get the reward for our labor. Hopefully, we expect it to be good in the future." In Amasya, the cherry harvest, which began in early June, is expected to continue until mid-July.
