On my previous car, a 6th generation model, I had installed the somewhat bulky Toyota genuine mudguards, but I didn't want to use the same thing again, so this time I chose TRD mud flaps. The mud flaps extend about 1-2 cm beyond the car body, so I think that's why they protect against dirt. Also, they have a visually appealing effect, so I think they're a worthwhile part to install. The difficulty level of the installation is [★★☆☆☆], which I would rate as easy (2 stars). Since they are almost genuine parts, the design is solid, and the installation can be completed without any problems by following the instructions. Incidentally, the work can be done without removing the tires, but it's significantly easier if you do.
