In today’s vlog, I explore the heart of Dhaka, Bangladesh as a Pakistani traveler. The day begins with my local friend picking me up, followed by a delicious Bangladeshi breakfast that truly set the tone for the day. My first stop is the historical Lalbagh Fort, where the Mughal legacy still echoes through its ancient walls. From there, I visit the iconic Shaheed Minar, a powerful symbol of the 1952 Language Movement. It’s a place filled with emotion and deep respect. Next, I head to the bustling Sadarghat Ferry Terminal, where I hop on a local boat and cross the Buriganga River. On the other side, I’m welcomed with open arms. A kind local family even invited me for lunch, and several people refused to take money from me — a truly heartwarming experience that reflects the hospitality of Bangladeshi people toward Pakistanis. I also explore Dhaka’s local fruit and vegetable markets and compare prices with those in Pakistan — some things are cheaper, some more expensive, but everything is vibrant and full of life.
