Mac84: Making a 56k Dial-Up Internet Server with DreamPi - Will it work on a Mac? (Sega Dreamcast)
The Sega Dreamcast, one of my favorite video game consoles... thanks to DreamPi we can now create a dial-up network and connect the Dreamcast's 56k modem to a modern high-speed internet connection. But I was curious, how well does this work? Would this work on a computer too? Let’s find out! Take a trip with me back to 1999 when Dreamcast consoles were young, the internet was served up via telephone lines, and Apple's new Clamshell iBook G3 was the coolest laptop around.
