BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO HAS GOD! 01.01.2022 Proverbs 9:10. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Psalm 14:1. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have done abominable things; there is no one who does good. Jeremiah 4:22. Surely my people are foolish, they do not know me; they are foolish children, without understanding, clever to do evil, and do not know how to do good. Psalm 33:12. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he has chosen for his inheritance. Psalm 146. 1 Hallelujah! Praise the Lord, O my soul! 2 I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing to my God as long as I have my being. 3 Do not put your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. 4 His breath goes out, he returns to his ground; in that day his plans perish. 5 Happy is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God. 6 He who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; he maintains faithfulness forever. 7 He executes justice for the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free. 8 The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord sets straight those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. 9 The Lord watches over the stranger; he upholds the fatherless and the widow; but he turns the way of the wicked upside down. 10 The Lord will reign forever; your God, O Zion, will be King forever. Hallelujah! Verses 1, 2. Praise - Singing - expressing joy and excitement at what you receive. Praise continually throughout your life. How can you praise God in good times and bad? Verses 3, 4. Unsafe refuges: Kings and people. Verse 5. Blessed are those who have God to help them, a place to trust. People often think: Blessed are those who have money, a house, a title, .... they think having God is more troublesome! Do we really realize that we are blessed to have God? Verse 6. The Creator: Supporting all things - Whenever He wants us to trust Him, He mentions the creation of heaven and earth! Eternal truth: God is not fickle! Verse 7. God is on the side of the helpless. Verse 8. God helps those who need help: the hungry, the imprisoned, the blind, the bent. Both literally and figuratively. If we realize that we are “hungry, imprisoned, blind, bent” we will need His help! Verse 9. Protection: Strangers, orphans, widows (Why does God pay attention to these 3 types of people? They are the weak! Believe: God will destroy the way of the wicked. Verse 10. God rules forever. Hosea 6:3. Let us know the Lord; let us press on to know him. His going forth is as sure as the dawn; he will come to us like the rain, like the latter rain that waters the earth. Isaiah 40:31. But those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint.
