Mönch // A Very Narrow Strip of Snow
The Mönch, or Munk in english, sits between the Eiger (Ogre) and the Jungfrau (young maiden). We had planned to climb it yesterday after summiting the Eiger by a connecting ridge and a glacier crossing. But fresh snow and my doubts put the kibosh on that idea. So we took the train up and had a type 1 fun kind of day climbing this enjoyable and challenging pile of rock and snow. I'm not sure I've ever walked any ridge of snow this narrow.
