Urea Cycle Disorders ECHO Session 3: The Importance of Diet

This is the third session in an educational series for clinicians that focuses on recognition, diagnosis, and treatment of urea cycle disorders (UCDs), a group of eight rare genetic metabolic disorders. It features Nicholas Ah Mew, MD and Erin MacLeod, PhD, RD, LD, of Children's National Hospital, discussing "The Importance of Diet." It took place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, 5-6:30 pm ET. The free ECHO series, hosted by the National Urea Cycle Disorders Foundation (NUCDF) in partnership with Project ECHO®, aims to share essential information with frontline caregivers who may not encounter these disorders often, including emergency room physicians, nurse practitioners, pediatricians, and neurologists as well as medical students. Physicians who attend the live sessions are eligible to receive continuing medical education credit. #echo #UCD #ProjectECHO #CMEs #InbornErrorsofMetabolism #IEM #raredisease 2025 Session Schedule: Session 1: Recognition and Testing Session 2: Diagnosis and Treatment Session 3: The Importance of Diet Session 4: Long-term Management, Tuesday, November 11, 5-6:30 pm ET with Laura Konczal, MD, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
