(9 Nov 1997) Cuba: Che Guevara Memorial W105647 WTN Havana, Cuba 10 and 11October 1997 President Fidel Castro on Friday ended a Communist Party Congress, the first since 1991, that was dedicated to Guevara's memory. Delegates paid homage to Guevara, a doctor-turned-Cuban revolutionary hero who died three decades ago while trying to spread communism in Bolivia. His remains were brought to Cuba from Bolivia on July 12.
