An Interview with Barry Greenspon, Owner of Drummers World NYC
Here is an interview with my friend Barry Greenspon. He is the owner of Drummers World. From the late 1970s to 2011, Barry ran the store first on 45th Street and then on 46th Street. It was the place to be if you were a drummer /percussionist at the time. I started going there in 1979 and purchased some of my best instruments there. Those purchases pale in comparison to what I learned there over the years and the special musicians I met there. I talk to Barry about his career, the store, and the artists who have visited the store over the years.
