Boost PFC - Complete design and AC analysis
In this tutorial video we convert a dc-dc boost converter into a closed loop boost PFC. Two control loops are used, average current control is performed on the inner loop with an outer voltage loop. The loop are closed in the analog, s-domain, along with a digital implementation in the z-domain. After the loops are closed the input impedance is determined. You will learn to use PSIM for the analysis of the converter and to use SmartCtrl to determine the controller parameters.
