The thread distributor pin on my Falcon was damaged. Sand got into the worm gear channel, wearing down one side of the pin. I managed to fix it without having to replace it. I had to remake the pin, and for that I used two sanding discs: a flat one to smooth the sides, and a cylindrical one to reshape the channel.
