These amps can still be found for a song, in fact right now there are several on Reverb for under $900, and yet frighteningly few players seem to know about how great they can become with a few modifications. Footswitchable bias-modulating Tremolo, REAL Tube Spring Reverb, and a very simple, no fuss, single tone control make these amps the PERFECT studio recording amp or live pedal platform. The necessary modifications to turn one of these from a GOOD amp into a MONSTER can be performed by a competent tech in an afternoon, and the resulting amp will be 10X better than the crappy PCB Mesa-Boogie built Gibson Falcon 20 Reissue.
