How can you enlarge a bedroom to create a 212 sq ft primary suite with an ensuite bathroom, walk-in-style storage and a desk area? In this video, we walk you through a real interior layout project where an 86 sq ft enclosed loggia is integrated into the bedroom to create a more comfortable, brighter and better organized primary suite. The goal: to understand how an interior architect’s floor plan can help reintegrate an enclosed terrace into the living space, without touching the load-bearing wall, while improving circulation, storage, natural light, the ensuite bathroom and the technical constraints of the renovation. The project takes place in a 1,000 sq ft apartment. The existing bedroom is redesigned with a compact ensuite bathroom of about 30 sq ft, a custom headboard, a pocket door, a double vanity, a dressing area and a desk installed in the former loggia.
