The afternoon is nigh for the 20-series trio thrashing the A60 from Worksop and Doncaster, each with its own rhythm and tempo. Just under a year ago, I took the a nice, 'quiet' ride on the 25—slipping through the peaceful village of Blyth, the suburban sprawl of Harworth Bircotes and Bawtry's market-town charm before entering the small South Yorkshire city some know and love as Doncaster! Fast-forward to February 28, 2026, and we are now taking the journey into Worksop from Doncaster! The 25, also hourly, opts for a more scenic overlook into Blyth, offering a more gentle rhythm and whimsical village charm before rejoining the route in Bawtry. And 22? It is the frequent flyer, running every 30 minutes and tearing through more of the A60 than its slower counterparts while detouring into Tickhill, Wadworth and Balby before alighting with the others into Doncaster Frenchgate's urban setting. Together, they offer a combined daytime frequency of every 15 minutes, a layered rhythm of connectivity and character. On Sundays, tempo slows down: The 25 truncates, running only between Doncaster and Harworth Bircotes. Both 21 and 25 drop to every 2 hours, with 21 still running the full route. Meanwhile, 22 maintains a steady hourly heartbeat, interworking with the 21 to offer this corridor's 90 minute frequency. It may be a slower, staggering pulse, but these two services definitely keep the Sunday rhythm alive!
