August 30, 2001 Report. Meeting in Fuveau, Bouches-du-Rhône, with witnesses of the massacre of several thousand Harkis at the end of the Algerian War. At this time, nine of them, organized into a committee, accuse the French authorities of having abandoned their Algerian auxiliaries to the FLN in 1962 and file a complaint for crimes against humanity. Commentary over illustrative and archival footage alternates with interviews of Aissa Bouhafs, a former rifleman, François Meyer, who was a lieutenant in Algeria, and Mohand Hamra, a former auxiliary in the French army.
