"The Fourth World B-Sides" by Kara's Flowers (Cut Tracks from The Fourth World)

Whenever bands make an album, they sometimes have to cut songs for time, or for some other reason, such as flow. In The Fourth World's case, there are 7 songs made around this time that could have made it onto the album, but didn't. Some of these have studio quality (having been on actual albums), and some are just potato quality, but listenable. Track List: Track 1: "Yesterday When I Was Handsome": 0:00 Track 2: "Buddy 'Two-Shoes' Wilson": 3:48 Track 3: "Angel in Blue Jeans": 6:15 Track 4: "Come Talk With Me": 10:12 Track 5: "Grave Condition": 14:19 Track 6: "The Powers That Be": 17:47 Track 7: "Good Evening Dr. Nothing": 22:55 Some fun facts about the songs because I'm a loser: -The first two tracks, "Yesterday When I Was Handsome" and "Buddy 'Two-Shoes' Wilson" are studio quality recordings. "Yesterday When I Was Handsome" made it on the compilation album "Hear You Me! A Tribute to Mykel and Carli", an album dedicated to Mykel and Carli Allan, the Weezer Fan Club President and her sister who tragically died in a car crash in 1997. The album was released in 1998 and contained mostly rare or unreleased songs from bands acquainted with Weezer, which included Kara's Flowers. The other song, "Buddy 'Two-Shoes' Wilson", was an exclusive bonus track featured on the Japanese release of The Fourth World. -The melody of "Angel in Blue Jeans" was reused for the song "My Most Terrible Secret" from the sitcom "Community." This is because Adam Levine helped cowrite the song with the episode writer Gene Hong. Adam and Gene were roommates at one point. -"Good Evening Dr. Nothing" was taken from a time when Kara's Flowers was on KCRW Radio, a Los Angeles Radio Station. I believe the song's lyrics weren't exactly complete because of the line "I've Taken Time To Find a Rhyme....LA LA LA LA LA". The band also performed Loving The Small Time, Future Kid, and My Ocean Blue at this performance. I'll be posting these recordings along with some other live performances at a future time.
