I want to say thank you to William for requesting this John Prine song… it just so happens to be one of my favorites too, so you really were giving me an excuse to learn and spend time with something I already loved. Thank you. And although I may not look it— I really am happy for it :) There is something to be said about a song that you can really feel… I wouldn’t necessarily call it sadness though. It’s just… emotion. It reminds me that we are human and makes me feel connected. Even when there is pain, just like a lullaby, there is beauty and calmness there too.
