🤚🏼Limb immobilization after a fracture is a mandatory medical procedure necessary for effective healing. ⠀ 🏥In the Emergency Trauma Department at Children's Clinic No. 143, a polymer immobilizing bandage is used to treat injuries. It can completely replace a plaster cast when treating fractures. ⠀ ✅We use the INTRARICH CAST polymer bandage. INTRARICH CAST polymer bandages are composed of woven polyester threads impregnated with polyurethane resin. When exposed to water, a chemical polymerization reaction occurs, after which the bandage hardens. This reaction lasts 🕘 from 3 to 15 minutes and is irreversible, meaning the bandage does not deteriorate if it gets wet again. ⠀ ✅After the polymerization reaction, the resulting polymer bandage provides complete immobilization of the injured segment🦵🏼 and is individualized for the patient. ⠀ Advantages of using polymer plaster: ⠀ 🔸Preserves muscle and tendon function, which helps reduce rehabilitation time; ⠀ 🔸Low weight (weighs 4-5 times less than a traditional plaster cast); ⠀ 🔸Air-permeable, preventing diaper rash, abrasions, and skin ulcers; ⠀ 🔸Moisture-resistant; if wet, simply dry with a hairdryer; ⠀ 🔸Completely permeable to X-rays, allowing for high-quality images of the injury site without removing the bandage; ⠀ 🔸Does not require special care. ⠀ 📍Removal of the polymer dressing is performed with a special medical saw. The saw only cuts polymer materials and does not damage the skin. ⠀ ✈️If you have an upcoming flight, please contact the airline to confirm the flight regulations.
