Inclusive Society - Brighter Futures

Join us for a thought-provoking Research Week 2026 symposium hosted by the School of Allied Health, featuring international collaborations and celebrating one of UL’s strategic research themes - Inclusive Society. The symposium focuses on the transformative impact of earlylife intervention. The earliest stages of development shape lifelong health, wellbeing, and opportunity. Evidence consistently shows that timely, targeted support in childhood reduces future health inequalities, improves cognitive and psychosocial outcomes, and strengthens long term societal wellbeing. Investing in children is, ultimately, investing in a healthier, more sustainable future for all. Professor Sue Bazyk, Cleveland State University, USA will give the keynote address, followed by dynamic lightning talks showcasing a broad range of collaborative, interdisciplinary research with children and young people. The presentations highlight methodologies that elevate children’s voices and empower them to shape their own futures. https://www.ul.ie/research/research-week for more details about UL Research Week.
