It was a day of exploring Seoul's famous landmarks with my mother-in-law, who arrived from Russia. Our first stop was Myeongdong, where we enjoyed plump fried shrimp and refreshing pomegranate juice, a treat I missed when I visited with my wife, Kate. Our next stop was Namsan Tower, the symbol of Seoul! As we ascended the bus, my mother-in-law was as delighted as a child at the view of the city through the window. We enjoyed a cup of coffee at the Starbucks atop Namsan Mountain, took photos, and chatted happily while overlooking the expansive cityscape. Today's demanding journey involved taking subway number 4! Transferring between unfamiliar Korean subways must have been a bit tiring, but the sight of the sumptuous desserts at the Ashley Strawberry Festival, our final stop, brought a bright smile to our faces. As we savored our meal, my mother-in-law said, "Now I can trust my daughter and son-in-law and go with peace of mind. My daughter looks so happy." It was a day when my heart was touched by the sincere words of my daughter, who had flown 8,000km to see my daughter's happiness.
