Tasting 8 Yellow and Orange Cherry Tomatoes!

The tomato taste trials continue with the yellow and orange cherry tomatoes! Some are mild and sweet, others fruit and tangy, all of them are cheerful bright yellow and orange colors! Which ones were our favorites? Watch and see! Tomatoes covered in this video: Sunrise Bumblebee is a beautiful swirl of pink and yellow colors and a great sweet flavor. Produces well year after year. Sun Dipper has a fun elongated shape that makes it fun for dipping. Darker orange color was nice and it’s not too sweet. Honey Delight has a smooth, mild sweetness and bright yellow color. It is a larger cocktail size tomato but as the season progresses the fruit has gotten smaller. SunSugar is consistently in our top tier for cherry tomato flavor. We love the bright orange color too. Tropical Sunset looks a lot like sunrise bumblebee but has more fruity undertones which we enjoy. Beautiful, tasty and a good producer. Dwarf Eagle Smiley is a very small tomato plant. The fruits we had today were tangy and flavorful. I like that the plant does not set all of the tomatoes at once like our other dwarf cherry Little Birdy Red Robin does. Good for small spaces but didn’t make the top in flavor overall. Blush has been a great producer for us this year. We like the subtle striping and colors and the elongated shape. It hasn’t caused us problems with splitting or anything and looks great in an assortment of cherry tomatoes. We didn’t taste it today, but we’ve had a lot this season and they taste good too. Sparky XSL has more of a red striped with yellow appearance which is fun. The flavor is good but not standout good. It really shines as a tomato that stays healthy all season and holds well on the vine and lasts a little longer when brought inside. Peak season it’s good but later in the season as the others fade out or finish it’s great.
