STEP 1: Open Revit and select the structural template. After that, you can adjust the levels or change the level at which the element will be loaded to make the process easier. STEP 2: LOADING THE metric LOAD-BEARING COLUMN FAMILY Go to "File," then select "New Family," and load the metric load-bearing column family. Once loaded, you can change the work unit. STEP 3: CREATING THE L-SHAPED SUPPORTING COLUMN Go to EXTRUSION, then select Lines. Start by tracing, locking and adjusting the lines. Then, go to the right elevation to snap the created column to the lower and upper reference levels, locking it to avoid any issues. STEP 4: SAVE THE FAMILY AND LOAD IT INTO THE PROJECT Once the creation is complete, save it to your folder, rename it, and then load it into the project.
