Find Sarah's books on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/stores/author/... In this video, author Sarah A. Chrisman and her librarian husband Gabriel Chrisman discuss the importance of critical thinking and how to avoid some common logical fallacies. Meanwhile, two of their cats join them for tea. The most important thing anyone needs to learn (regardless of the specifics of their studies) is the skill of how to learn. A big part of learning how to find any answer is learning how to ask the right questions: if you ask the right question, you're already well on the way towards your answer. Good questions are specific, and good questions get at the root of what you're actually trying to find out. This applies to questions you ask other people, and it also applies to questions you ask yourself. Beware of common logical fallacies like the sunk costs fallacy (as Kenny Rogers says, "You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, know when to run!"). Avoid ad hominem insults that just call names without adding to a debate. Above all, think for yourself and form your own opinions.
