Peggy Wunderlich is the co-owner of a unique textile company: The Cammann Gobelin Manufactory was founded in Chemnitz in 1886 and supplied theaters, hotels, and railways around the world with fine fabrics. Today, the expertise that lives on in the company is rare. It's no wonder that Peggy and the manufactory are in high demand when it comes to historical reconstructions and replicas. It's no coincidence that the manufactory is still weaving textiles for castles and museums in Germany and internationally, even in 2026. We had the pleasure of being taken on a tour of her weaving mill by Peggy. She explained historical upholstery and weaving techniques, color selection and production processes, and the surprising applications of her fabrics—from historic preservation to modern interior design.
