"The Liberty Bell" March on 1905 89-key G4 Gavioli FAIRGROUND ORGAN
"The Liberty Bell" (1893) is an American military march composed by John Philip Sousa. Played here by my 89-key G4 Gavioli FAIR ORGAN built in Paris in 1905. The instrument operates today exactly as it would have done in the 1900s, using perforated cardboard read by an pneumatic action controlling air to the 400 pipes. This organ was installed in James Day's 3-abreast Gallopers in 1920, and was in showmans use with the ride until 1984, based since the 1950s in Aberavon, South Wales. If you're enjoying the music and wish to tip me towards the organ's maintenance and help fund future videos, you can do so at: www.paypal.com/paypalme/jollity
