Indian Classical Music - A journey through Banaras Gharana in India. Giving a break to the Varanasi street Food scene, I found a new calling. While Visiting the Taj Hotel of Dal Mandi Street Food, I visited the house of Bharat Ratna Bismillah Khan, the shehnai legend. Met his grandson, Nasir Abbas Bismillah, he hardly gets any concerts now. The condition of his family is extremely poor. The house is in a very bad condition, they seemed to be out of money and work. I have tried to bring forth their story. The story from the music city of India - Varanasi. I also met the pied piper of Banaras, Manohar Lal Prasanna, a Bansuri master who lives in a 1 room house with poor amenities, his survival depends upon teaching music to students. I was invited by the Banaras gharana classical music master for a better understanding of music and to my surprise his father, Pandit Shivnath Mishra, just received the Padmashree Award for his contribution in Sitar in Banaras Gharana. We tasted the most incredible Street Food in Varanasi, where the lemon tea at Assi ghat was phenomenal.
