CONEXÃO ADUNICAMP | #Ep 92 | Acordo Mercosul–UE

The new episode of the Conexão ADunicamp videocast is now available and features an essential debate on the free trade agreement between Mercosur and the European Union. Negotiated for over two decades, the treaty could create one of the world's largest trading areas, involving a market of approximately 700 million people. The proposal foresees a gradual reduction in tariffs and an expansion of trade between the two blocs, but it also raises important questions about its impacts on Brazilian industry, employment, agriculture, and the environment. To analyze this complex scenario, the episode features the participation of Professor and economist Roberto Borghi, a professor at the Institute of Economics at Unicamp. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and is currently the coordinator of CERI (Center for Studies of International Economic Relations). Borghi has extensive academic production, with articles published in Brazil and abroad, as well as frequent participation in national and international conferences. Don't miss this crucial conversation to understand the challenges and implications of this agreement for Brazil.
