Initially, the condition is assessed as stable or unstable. Unstable vitiligo requires medical intervention to halt progression, while stable vitiligo can be treated with topical therapies, oral drugs, and laser/UV light therapies (eczema lasers, PUVA units). Topical therapies and photofirst cream are used for stable cases, while oral therapies are the first line for unstable vitiligo.
