How to Follow Jesus Like St. Francis

What does it look like to follow God without holding anything back? In this video, Fr. Jeremiah CFR shares his vocation story — a winding road through public school, his mother's Alzheimer's diagnosis, and a year spent living out of a car, before a Google search after 9/11 led him to the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. What he found in St. Francis was a saint who lived without half measures: contemplative and apostolic, prayerful and present to the poor, fully given to Christ. ➡️ Episode Chapters: 0:00 A Man Without Half Measures 0:25 Wrestling Between the Monastery and the Streets 1:15 Finding the CFRs After 9/11 2:00 A Mother's Diagnosis and a Falling Away 2:45 A Year Living Out of a Car 3:30 How Grace Flooded In 4:00 The Saint Who Held Nothing Back 4:45 40 Days Alone with God ➡️ ABOUT THIS PROJECT This year marks 800 years since the death of St. Francis of Assisi. To mark the anniversary, we're travelling to friaries across the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal to sit down with the friars and hear, in their own words, what St. Francis means to them — how they first encountered him, what drew them to the Franciscan life, and what the Poverello continues to teach them today.
