Rebuilding Japanese Maple Arakawa (Grafting, pruning) over one year
How do you rebuild a Japanese Arakawa Maple on its own roots? Going from a well-maintained but slightly boring bonsai and making it an interesting bonsai can be a challenge. In this video I will thread graft a japanese maple bonsai. I will wire and bend old Arakawa Maple branches. Old cut-marks of this Japanese Maple are carved to help in healing of the trunk chop wounds and all in all, I restyle this Japanese maple, including pruning, wiring and heavy bending. This includes updates after a full year of growth so you can see the effect of the work done.
