Cleaning Your Cardinal Health™ Genius™ 3 Tympanic Thermometer
This video is for users of the Genius™ 3 Tympanic Thermometer from Cardinal Health™. It discusses the different parts of the Genius™ 3 thermometer, what to do and what not to do when cleaning, and when the device should be replaced. We recommend including these cleaning guidelines in your facility’s cleaning protocols to help ensure that your Genius™ 3 devices are cleaned often and maintained in good condition. Please follow the guidance in the video, but especially note that ammonia, bleach, or abrasives should never be used to clean Genius™ thermometers. When cleaning the probe tip and probe lens, only a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe or solution should be used. Following these simple cleaning guidelines will help ensure your Genius™ 3 thermometers will remain in good condition, work as intended, and deliver accurate temperature readings. If you need to obtain the product’s Instructions for Use Manual or would like to order new Genius™ 3 thermometers or probe covers, please contact your local Cardinal Health™ representative.
