When I opened the door, a jackdaw was standing on the front steps. I went back for my camera, and it jumped onto the railing and then descended the steps into the yard. It wasn't flying, but it was walking. It visited my stork, which stands by the fence. It seemed to be looking for a quiet place to sleep. The jackdaw explored various overgrown corners until it finally squeezed through the latticework and wandered into the abandoned garden. There, it spent the night safely. I haven't seen this jackdaw yet, and I'm curious if it flies too.
