#HowToBeAThirdMateSeries Here are some pointers for all #ThirdOfficers and #SafetyMaintenanceOfficers ✅ Check that the Portable Fire Extinguisher is visible and unobstructed. ✅ Check the if the locking pin is still intact and the seal is not broken. ✅ Check the guage or pressure indicator. ✅ Check the physical appearance (incl corroded parts and obstructions on the nozzle) ✅ Check the inspection tag ‼️ Additional info for Dry Power P.F.E., the dry powder has the tendency to settle at the bottom. So it is advisable to shake the PFE during your monthly inspection. ---- Personal note: Finally had the courage to upload an instructional video. This is the best I can do for a vlog.
