Season 3 Starts Here - We Get Lulu Back Onto Her Mooring At Lake Bala

A big day as season 3 starts here. We get Lulu set up to go back on her mooring amidst a rainy but fairly warm day. That can't be said for the water though which is as cold as it probably gets and almosts hurts my feet during a brief test standing in it!! Tadpole, my new Biluta packraft also has her maiden voyage as I give her a first mission to go and check the mooring and strop are OK, after being there all winter! Despite being a quite nice mild March day, the water was freezing cold. If you were to fall into this temperature water with no protective clothing, I think the cold shock would really get you and you would genuinely only have a few minutes before you would be struggling. My wetsuit is a 4/5mm one made for the cold weather. It's a bit warm for the summer months, but today is perfect for it!
