Ludmilla, EuroDual, Class 77 und Co geben sich die Hand in Sande - Güterzüge am laufenden Band [4K]

On Wednesday September 21st and Friday September 23rd 2022 I was in 26452 Sande. The station was completely rebuilt and equipped with overhead lines as part of the route conversion and new construction to the container port / JadeWeserPort (JWP for short). At the time of recording, this was not yet under power. So it is currently still a real diesel paradise. However, it is planned for October 17, 2022 to put the catenary into operation and to complete the first tests. After completion of the Sande bypass, the route now runs straight ahead and on two tracks in the direction of Schortens (“Weißer Floh” junction). The tracks in the direction of Wilhelmshaven Hbf branch off with simple switches only. However, the tracks were also equipped with overhead wire. Sande can be reached with the regional lines RE 18 (Wilhelmshaven - Osnabrück), RE 19 (Wilhelmshaven - Bremen) and RB 59 (Wilhelmshaven - Esens (Ostfriesl)). As from the timetable change in December 2023, it is planned to connect the RE 1 from Hanover to Wilhelmshaven. New Coradia Stream HC railcars from Alstom are to be used.
