Raghu and Madhavi dreamed of building a green home. Unlike many dreamers, who only dream and never wake up, this couple did their homework before engaging a team of young architects - Vivek Harsha and Thanuja (Madhavam Logili Architects), and Prudhvi Raj, a sensitive builder, who likes the challenges. Raghu and Madhavi exactly know what they want and this helped the architect's team to visualize their thoughts into a plan. The building material- wooden doors/ windows from Tamil Nadu, lime plastering, backed hollow red bricks, filler slabs, good cross ventilation, daylit rooms, sky-lit roofs, stone pillars, open to sky court yards, pet-friendly spaces, seating and meeting places that resonate the personality of the owners - are all integrated into this home. Large windows offer good wind and light. Raghu and Madhavi 'learned' a lot about building a dream home, along with the young architects; builders and all artisans who worked on the site.
