Students Fear This Pole Wala Question! | Example 8 Quadratic Equations Class 10

Welcome to Maths With Atyant! In this video, we solve Example 8 of Quadratic Equations (Class 10 Maths), popularly known among students as the Pole Wala Example. Question: A pole has to be erected at a point on the boundary of a circular park of diameter 13 metres in such a way that the difference of its distances from two diametrically opposite fixed gates A and B on the boundary is 7 metres. Is it possible to do so? If yes, at what distances from the two gates should the pole be erected? This is one of the most important application-based questions from the chapter Quadratic Equations. Many students get confused while forming the equation and applying the geometric conditions correctly. In this video, I explain: ✅ How to understand the statement of the problem ✅ How to form the quadratic equation ✅ Step-by-step solution with proper reasoning ✅ Common mistakes students make ✅ Board exam approach to score full marks This detailed explanation will help Class 10 students build strong concepts and confidently solve similar word problems in exams.
