JUNIOR DOCTOR NIGHT SHIFT (Medicine Night Shift) | A Day In The Life Of A UK Junior Doctor

In this video I share a glimpse of a medicine night shift as a UK junior doctor. On this shift I was the junior doctor covering the medical wards. The NIGHT SHIFT can be one of the most daunting parts of working as a doctor, and in this video I'm taking you guys on the journey of a doctor working at night. Overnight, the 'on call' medical team cover the wards, their responsibility is to attend to any unwell patients, prescribe medications, review scans and answer queries from colleagues. My training includes 18 months of hospital training and 18 months of GP training, hence why I am doing on calls in the hospital. I hope you enjoyed this video, the cases I have used are not real due to patient confidentiality but these represent the kind of thing that you come across as a doctor on call. Any resemblance to any patient is purely coincidental as these are not real patients. I should also note that I wear my mask at all times in the hospital, and only lowered the mask to talk to the camera when alone in a room. Furthermore, this video was filmed over a few night shifts (hence why my stubble grows and then disappears occasionally).
