The two sides are currently negotiating electricity prices. However, the 3.4 GW represents a portfolio of projects at different stages of development and does not represent all the electricity already delivered to Singapore. Malaysia's plan is divided into two parts: a low-carbon power import project of approximately 1 GW in Sarawak, and a planned second two-way cross-border interconnection line between Singapore and the Malay Peninsula, with a maximum capacity of approximately 2 GW.
