This is a review of the RetroVa, an iPhone camera extension smartphone grip released by PGYTECH. While the MagCam2, which we introduced in a previous video and received a positive response, was also a user-friendly smartphone grip, the RetroVa's biggest feature is its included dedicated 2.35x optical zoom telephoto lens. In the video, we actually attached it to an iPhone 17 Pro and conducted test shots using the iPhone's standard wide-angle (13mm) to super-telephoto (up to 960mm) with digital zoom, photographing wild birds at a zoo and distant buildings. We explain how this product solves the image quality degradation problem that occurs when zooming with the iPhone alone, using actual comparison footage. This is a useful item for those who want to take serious telephoto shots during travel or at events without carrying heavy camera equipment.
