For a moment I thought about bringing my daughter to the gig, she loves Pixies. But I wouldn’t have wanted her to think that this poor cover-band is the real band. I don’t think it’s about nostalgia, Doolittle-jubilee was cashing in as well, but it was magnificent! I don’t even think it was about Kim Deal, no. It’s just that the other three can’t play like Pixies anymore. No friction, no inspiration, no magic. I really tried to like it.
