He paid rent on her murder scene for 26 YEARS | Namiko Takaba
On November 13, 1999, 32-year-old Namiko Takaba opened her front door to a woman posing as a beverage saleswoman. Minutes later she was dead, stabbed in her own apartment while her two-year-old son sat unharmed beside her. Police interviewed 5,000 people and put 100,000 officers on the case, and for 26 years they had almost nothing: a blood type, a shoe size, and a single drink left on the table that didn't belong to the family. But Namiko's husband, Satoru, refused to let the case die. He never cleaned the blood. He never moved the furniture. He kept paying rent on the empty "haunted house" apartment for 26 years, spending around 145,000 dollars, all to preserve the killer's DNA until science could catch up. In 2025, it finally did. This is one of the most haunting and devotional cold cases we have ever covered on Triggered. Tap in for the full story, the twist nobody saw coming, and the question even 26 years couldn't answer. #truecrime #coldcase #unsolvedmysteries #truecrimepodcast #truecrimecommunity #murdermystery #japan #nagoya #coldcasesolved #DNA #crimestory #truecrimejunkie #podcast #Triggered #justice #namikotakaba 🔮 JOIN THE INNER CIRCLE | Get ad-free episodes, bonus content, and early access: triggeredthepod.supercast.com 🎧 LISTEN ON ALL PLATFORMS: linktr.ee/triggeredthepodcast
