Como se Preparar pro que Você Não Pode Preparar

Did your group go off-script and you freeze in front of the table? In this video, I'll show you how to prepare for the unpredictable before the chaos at your table turns into panic—and destroys your session! No more freezing when the group ignores your hooks, inventing NPC names that sound like typos, or holding onto the loose end of a story that's gone off track. I'll teach you the 4 pillars that made me a GM capable of improvising with confidence—and why trying to prepare everything that's going to happen is the biggest mistake a GM can make! THE 4 PILLARS TO IMPROVISE WITHOUT PANICKING: 1️⃣ HAVE LISTS, NOT SCRIPTS Improvising well isn't about not preparing—it's about preparing differently. Instead of creating a sequence of events, prepare loose resources: NPC names, locations, generic complications. When the group leaves the map — and they will — you open the list and choose an ingredient instead of staring at the empty refrigerator. 2️⃣ LEARN THE "YES, AND..." It's the golden rule of improv actors, especially comedians: you never deny what your partner proposes, you accept and build upon it. At the RPG table, it works the same way. The GM's "yes" is not defeat — it's the engine of the game. 3️⃣ PREPARE YOUR OWN PANIC Every GM has a trigger for freezing. Some GMs freeze when the group goes to a place they haven't described. Some GMs freeze when the party splits up. Identifying your trigger and having a standard response for it changes everything — you won't eliminate chaos, you'll just stop being caught off guard by it. 4️⃣ NEVER DEPEND ON A SINGLE LINE TO PULL AN IMPORTANT HOOK For each essential revelation, prepare at least three different paths to reach it. The content of the hook is fixed — the vehicle is negotiable. Think of your hooks as rivers, not bridges. You can cross a river wherever you want. You always reach the other side. THIS CONTENT WORKS FOR: ✅ D&D 5e ✅ Pathfinder ✅ Tormenta20 ✅ Ordem Paranormal ✅ Any tabletop RPG system! 💬 COMMENT BELOW: What was the most chaotic situation a player ever put you in unexpectedly? What did you do? Tell me here — I promise I won't judge. I've been that GM holding the loose thread without knowing what to do too! 📚 WANT MORE CONTENT LIKE THIS? 👉 Subscribe to the channel and activate the Tavernkeeper's bell 👉 Leave a LIKE to strengthen the tavern 👉 Share with that friend of yours who freezes every time the group goes off-script ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 - Call 00:41 - Introduction 01:11 - The myth of improvisation 01:51 - Pillar 1: Lists, not scripts 02:15 - Pillar 2: Yes, and... 03:19 - Pillar 3: Prepare your panic 03:57 - Pillar 4: Never a single line 05:23 - Conclusion Follow the Tavern on social media:   / tavernadomestrebardo     / tavernadomestrebardo   #RPG #RPGtips #RPGmaster #Improvisation #TabletopRPG #DnD #Tormenta20 #OrdemParanormal #D&D5e #DungeonsAndDragons #RPGtable #MasterTips #RPGBrazil #TTRPG #YesAnd And remember: the unpredictable will always happen — the point was never to avoid it, but to learn to dance when the music changes without warning.
