Edwardian skincare and make-up routine 💄 historically accurate
Does it fit me better the look of The Turn of the Century or the 1910s look? In this video I talk about the beauty standard of the first two decades of the 20th century: 1900-1910, also known as Edwardian Era. Meanwhile I follow the skincare, haircare and makeup routine as described in some vintage books like: Practical face treatment and natural beauty by a London Specialist, 1900 The Lady beauty-book by Myrene, 1900 Beauty and the preservation of youth by An.M.D. 1907 Health and beauty hints by Margaret Mixter, 1910 Hygiene of the face and cosmetic guide by Richard W. Muller, 1916 I chose the most common and interesting practices from the different books, some cosmetic ingredients and indications are a little different from one book to another but they are pretty similar in the general practice of the beauty routine.
