In March 2012, he underwent a radical hysterectomy. In May 2013, he developed lymphedema as a complication. He is currently undergoing treatment. In March 2017, five years after surgery, his cervical cancer recurred. He successfully underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy. In November of the same year, metastasis to the lungs and lymph nodes was discovered, resulting in a third recurrence. From January 2018 to January 2019, he underwent chemotherapy. He was monitored for advanced and recurrent cancer.
