People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.” ANTICIPATION OF HIS RETURN What Christians need to know, they do know · He will return - John 14:3 “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” · He will raise the dead and transform the living - 1 Cor. 15:52 “In a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.” · He will exercise final judgment - Acts17:30-31 “In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.” · He will establish the eternal order - 1 Cor. 15:24 “Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.” “Christians have no business looking for death” - Billy Sunday We’re nearer to his return than anyone who ever lived PREPARING FOR CHRIST’S RETURN Christians should be alert Unbelievers must make a decision · Not to decide is to decide · Indecision has eternal consequences He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen.
