Montreal Metro - A ride on the Jeumont Element 41! (Green Line, Beaudry to McGill - Full HD)

Facebook:   / thenovabusfan   Instagram:   / thenovabusfan   ---- In the early days of the metro, a full MR-63 train of 9 cars (elements 40 to 42) was modified with a current chopper, also known as a stepper-motor. This component creates the driving force of the train in stages, each stage producing a sound. This sound has become famous as the sound of the Montreal Metro, the "doo doo doo". Even though this train no longer rolls in one piece (element 40 was retired years ago and the other two roll separately), the sound is found on the next generation Bombardier MR-73s, as well as through the door-closing chimes on the same trains. I may have filmed this train before, but to us transit fans here in Montreal, this sound will never get old. Enjoy the video!
