Kenya targets to start exporting crude oil in December 2026
Kenya could join the league of crude oil exporting countries as early as next year if all processes go as planned. Initially Kenya is expected to produce 20,000 barrels per day then gradually increase to 50,000 barrels per day under the first phase of the South Lokichar Basin Field Development Plan.
